A series of videos have surfaced on social media recently, featuring a beach in Nha Trang with turquoise waters, dubbed a “mini Hawaii” in Vietnam. Check-ins at this beach have been receiving a lot of likes.

This place is called Mini Beach, a small beach located on Hon Mieu Island – one of the most beautiful islands in the bay, close to the mainland. It’s only a 7-minute speedboat ride from Nha Trang’s tourist port.

Although the beach is just 300 meters long, it boasts clear and emerald-colored water, fine white sand, thatched-roof resting houses, dozens of white umbrellas, wooden chairs by the shore, and a lush cover of tall coconut trees.

Ho Dac Duy, a local island tour guide, shared that this beach used to be part of a resort, but accommodations are currently halted. The beach has been known for a while, but it suddenly gained popularity in the last two years, creating a buzz in travel groups.

To get to this beach, you can either go on your own or join a tour.

If you choose to go independently, you’ll need to arrange transportation from your hotel to the port, and then you can select a wooden boat (priced at 200,000 VND per small boat, accommodating 6-7 people), a speedboat, or a local rowboat. Most visitors opt for speedboats due to their quick travel time of 7-10 minutes, costing around 900,000 VND for a round trip.

There is currently an entrance fee of 200,000 VND per person. The area also features a beautifully designed restaurant with a diverse seafood menu but at relatively high prices.

Visitors can enjoy activities such as parasailing, banana boat rides, and scuba diving…

While on Hon Mieu Island, travelers can also enjoy Tranh Beach – a beach with fine white sand and a shallow area with small pebbles. The water here is clear and blue, and the gentle slope makes it perfect for swimming.

Additionally, there is an aquarium designed like a giant ship. Inside, you’ll find a basement with four fish tanks, creating a miniature ocean with hundreds of marine creatures. The second and third floors house a restaurant and a souvenir shop.

According to Duy, visitors usually include Mini Beach in their 3 or 4 island tours, which typically last a day, from 9 AM to around 4 PM.

“Tourists can opt for a group tour to Hon Mun – Hon Tam – Mini Beach, costing around 670,000 – 750,000 VND per person. For a private tour, the price depends on the number of guests. The journey starts with a pickup from the city center at 8 AM, arriving at the port by 8:30 AM, and then departing for the islands,” Duy informed.

At 9 AM, you’ll reach Hon Mun, where the main activity is scuba diving to admire the coral reefs. With the confluence of two warm ocean currents, the island is home to about 2,000 species of coral and numerous tropical marine life. By joining a sea diving tour at a depth of 6-8 meters, you’ll witness a colorful underwater world and touch various sea stars and fish…

Around noon, the group moves to Hon Tam for relaxation, lunch, or mud bathing. This island boasts a green forest, a long stretch of sandy beach, and calm waves, making it ideal for those seeking a tranquil vacation.

“In the early afternoon, we head to Mini Beach, which is perfect for photography and swimming. However, during peak season, the beach can get quite crowded,” Duy added.

Duy advises visitors to research and choose a tour that aligns with their interests, read reviews from previous travelers, and bring essential items like sunscreen, personal belongings, and snacks…
