The actress also seems comfortable referring to her boyfriend as her “husband,” and recently shared a series of photos with him, calling him “chong” and signing off as “vo,” along with a loving message: “Yeu anh, my handsome and adorable boyfriend.”
Phi Thanh Van also opened up about finding happiness after past heartbreaks. She wrote, “Ben do hanh phuc sau do vo. Co vap nga, moi biet dau ma dung day. Co that bai, moi biet de tang truong ma thanh cong. Du cuoc doi co te voi ban co nao thi cu don nhan, boi tat ca chi la thu thach ma thoi. Sau moi do vo, hanh phuc dang cho ban.”
It is known that Phi Thanh Van has had two previous marriages. Her first marriage was to a French businessman in 2008, which ended amicably in 2012. Even after their divorce, she had kind words for her ex-husband, praising his positive energy and demeanor.
In 2014, she married her second husband, who was two years her junior. However, this marriage only lasted three years, and they divorced amid some controversy. Their son is now being raised by Phi Thanh Van.

In the talk show “Loi Ra,” Phi Thanh Van shared that her second marriage was a mistake. Differences in perspectives, personalities, and values led to a gradual estrangement and eventual breakup. “I was very distressed and distraught during that phase. I acted on my instincts as an artist, crying and wailing, and constantly questioning why,” she said.
After her divorce, the actress struggled mentally and emotionally. She sought comfort from her parents, her brother’s family, and friends, and even went to the media to lament and assign blame.
However, when she met with psychologists and seriously studied psychology, she found a way out of her pain and eventually healed. She even earned an honorary doctorate in psychology from a university in the US and has helped many others heal as well.
Reflecting on her failed marriages, Phi Thanh Van attributed her failures to a lack of guidance on how to love and be a good wife. She followed her instincts, which didn’t always lead to the best decisions.
Nonetheless, she believes that “failure does not mean permanent loss or destruction. What matters is that we rise from our failures, fight for our happiness, and keep moving towards our goals.”
“Success comes from failure, and millionaires are made from rags. The same is true for love and marriage. Failure does not mean permanent ruin. We rise from our failures, fight for our happiness, and that is what truly matters,” she shared with “Doi Song & Phap Luat.”
