Anh Nghĩa shared that this trip took place from March 12th to 15th, with a total expense of 3.3 million VND (including ferry tickets, accommodation, transportation on the island, and meals).

Con Dao is currently experiencing favorable weather, with calm seas and golden sunshine.

The male traveler chose to take a high-speed ferry from Tran De Port in Soc Trang to Con Dao, costing nearly 900,000 VND for a round trip and taking 2 hours and 30 minutes.

This option is much more economical than flying, but travelers need to research the weather conditions carefully. If it’s windy, the chances of getting seasick are high,” shared Anh Nghia.

On the island, he stayed at a mid-range hotel (350,000 VND/day) and explored the area by renting a motorbike for 150,000 VND/day.

The pristine scenery of this island district surprised and delighted the traveler.

The roads on the island are lined with lush trees, creating a beautiful and shaded environment.

On the first day, he rested and enjoyed the beach.

The second day was dedicated to exploring Dam Trau Beach and Bi Mat Beach (also known as Little Dam Trau Beach, located next to Dam Trau Beach) for sightseeing and plane-spotting.

In the afternoon, he visited Bai Nhat to capture the stunning coastal road, and then headed to Bus Con Dao Cafe to witness the sunset. In the evening, he paid his respects at Hang Duong Cemetery, a renowned spiritual tourist attraction in Con Dao.

Both Dam Trau and Little Dam Trau beaches boast pristine beauty, with fine golden sand and lush greenery.

Dam Trau Beach, located about 14km north of Con Son Island’s town center, was ranked 18th among the world’s 25 most beautiful beaches by Travel+Leisure in 2021. It features golden sand, clear waters, and lush foliage.

Adjacent to the beach is the runway of Co Ong Airport (the official name of Con Dao Airport). Visitors can witness planes appearing larger and larger as they descend, flying low over their heads.

Plane-spotting at Dam Trau Beach is a thrilling experience for visitors to Con Dao.

Bai Nhat, located on Ben Dam Road, is approximately 7km from Con Son town, the district’s center. It boasts a long stretch of fine white sand and well-maintained grassy areas. Visitors can climb up for about 5 minutes to capture the impressive view of the road hugging the mountain.

The scenery at Bai Nhat left the male traveler in awe.

On the third day, he returned to Bai Nhat for a “trend Dai Ly” photoshoot (best done in the morning due to favorable lighting conditions), followed by visits to the lighthouse, Tau Be Cape, and a climb up Con Voi Mountain for a panoramic view of Con Dao.

Tau Be Cape, nestled along the solitary road from the airport to the town, is encircled by towering rocks that form a sea-facing arch. It is a popular spot for adventurous photoshoots and witnessing the island’s most breathtaking sunrises.

Climbing Con Voi Mountain offers a memorable experience, with breathtaking views of Con Dao’s pristine and majestic scenery.

On his last morning on the island, Anh Nghia visited the abandoned ship near Ben Dam. “It’s best to go there before 10 am, as the tide comes in afterward,” he advised.

The rusted ship creates a unique and impressive backdrop for photoshoots.

According to the traveler, his itinerary is well-suited for adventurous youngsters eager to explore.

In addition to the island’s natural beauty, Anh Nghia was impressed by the locals’ friendliness and hospitality. He noted that Con Dao remains pristine, and monkeys frequently roam the streets in search of food.

Visitors can indulge in delicious local specialties such as crab noodle soup, fish cake noodles, coconut ice cream, and seafood at the night market. My food expenses for four days and three nights totaled approximately one million VND. Con Dao truly offers a unique blend of spiritual tourism and natural exploration,” shared Anh Nghia.

Whether at sunrise or sunset, Con Dao captivates visitors with its breathtaking beauty.
