Ngoc Anh (born in 2002, from Hung Yen province) – an office worker in Hanoi shared: “Apple has officially launched the iPhone 15 line, including four models as usual: iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max. And since a few days ago, I’ve been eagerly awaiting Apple’s announcement to see what the models look like, and even eagerly waiting for when the stores in Vietnam will start selling them.”
“I was thrilled to learn that the iPhone 15 will be officially sold in Vietnam on September 29, and pre-orders will be accepted a week earlier on September 22. I will try my best to save up and be one of the first to own the iPhone 15 in the domestic market.”
The iPhone 15 has a starting price of 22.999 million VND in Vietnam.
The Gen Z girl said that she currently uses an iPhone 11 from 2019 and has been using it for four years. She has dropped and broken the screen of her “beloved phone” many times but has no plans to get it repaired or refurbished. This is because she already planned to buy a new one when the iPhone 15 is released. So, when the official announcement came from Apple, she started saving up to be able to buy it as soon as possible.
“On the 15th, when I get my salary, I will save up to order the iPhone 15, which costs 22,999,000 VND. Many colleagues think that I am showing off and being extravagant, so I have to “skip meals and cut down on clothing” to afford the iPhone. I just smiled and didn’t know how to react because everyone has different perspectives.
I’m still young, have a stable job, and no family burdens, so it’s my choice to buy what I want. I’m not really a show-off, and I don’t just go after the latest trends. They don’t know that I’ve been using the iPhone 11 for four years. Moreover, I feel that my job requires a newer model phone, so it’s an investment in my earning ability,” the young girl frankly shared.
Thu Trang (born in 2003, from Ha Nam province) – a final-year student at one of the top universities in the country, shares Ngoc Anh’s excitement, although she doesn’t have the money to upgrade her phone. However, she is considering buying an iPhone 15 on installment.
Thu Trang plans to buy the iPhone 15 on installment.
The 20-year-old girl confided: “I have a passion for all kinds of gadgets, from phones, headphones, chargers… to computers. So, whenever something new is released, I follow the news and wait to see the design, model, and functions, and if it’s better than the previous version.
From morning till now, I’ve been gushing about the beautiful pink iPhone 15 with my friends. I even wish I had over 20 million VND to buy one right now.”
She then added that she is likely to wait until she gets her September salary, plus her savings, and then balance her income and expenses for September. After that, she will decide whether to buy a phone on installment or not.
“I know that online Apple stores offer installments with terms of up to 24 months and reasonable interest rates. I will calculate to see if it is feasible, and then use my savings and sell my iPhone 13… to buy the iPhone 15 Plus on installment,” said Thu Trang.
Meanwhile, many young people are waiting until the end of the year for the iPhone 15 price to drop by 3-5 million VND, and they are saying no to installments. “I am aware of the preferential price policy for the newly launched iPhone 15, but I don’t plan to buy it right now. I have been observing the pattern over the past few years and noticed that new models are always more expensive, but the price drops a few months later.
So, I will patiently wait a while longer, and then I will be able to buy a new phone and save a significant amount,” said Hung Tran (born in 2000) – an IT employee.
In Vietnam, the starting prices for the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus are 22,999,000 VND and 25,999,000 VND, respectively. Meanwhile, the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max have starting prices of 28,999,000 VND and 34,999,000 VND, respectively. Immediately after Apple’s official announcement, many retailers quickly introduced attractive policies, making the iPhone 15’s price more appealing than buying it through the Apple Store Online Vietnam. |
