Houses shouldn’t be too big

Ancestors advise their descendants: A large house does not necessarily bring happiness

Everyone has their own life goals. Some dream of career success, others desire financial abundance, and still, others aspire to own a grand and spacious home. However, it’s important to find contentment in what we have. A large house devoid of love and harmony among its inhabitants fails to bring true happiness. It’s better to live in a smaller space filled with joy than in a grand home riddled with discord.

Family warmth thrives when members show care and affection for one another. As the saying goes, “Home is where love resides, and it can heal all wounds from the outside world.”

Don’t overdress

While our ancestors valued a comfortable life with “enough food and warm clothes,” this notion has its drawbacks. Overdressing can lead to health issues as excessive warmth prevents the body from releasing sweat, potentially causing flu-like symptoms. It’s best to dress appropriately for the weather and opt for layers that can be adjusted as needed. Overdressing is not conducive to good health.

A family should not have too much of these three things; otherwise, children may fail, and elders may face a bleak future.

Don’t overeat

While it’s natural to desire satisfying and delicious meals, the concept of overeating is outdated in modern times. Overeating can harm the stomach as it struggles to adequately digest such large quantities of food. Countless unfortunate accidents have occurred due to overeating or attempting to consume something beyond one’s capacity.

Our ancestors wisely advised eating only until you’re 70-80% full. They also recommended a balanced meal consisting of soup, meat, and vegetables. Avoid focusing solely on one type of food, and limit your alcohol intake to prevent mental fatigue and health deterioration. Excessive drinking can lead to reckless words and actions, sometimes resulting in the breakdown of once-happy families.
