The grand opening of Thien Zong Pagoda’s main hall took place on August 28, 2022, marking the completion of over nine years of construction. The pagoda has since been renovated and now stands stronger and more majestic than ever before.

Initially established in 1900 as Kim Hoa Pagoda, the temple was built using wood on a 10-hectare plot of land. Unfortunately, the pagoda suffered severe damage during the war, losing its original form.

In 1992, Venerable Thich Thien Phuoc took over as the abbot and rebuilt the pagoda with brick walls and a tin roof.
