What is VssID?

VssID is the official mobile information service application of the Social Insurance of Vietnam. It provides a quick communication, access, and lookup channel for individuals or organizations transacting with the Insurance Agency. The information on everyone’s health insurance card on VssID is equivalent to the use of traditional paper cards.

To conveniently access your social insurance number and health insurance card expiration date through VssID, follow the instructions below.

Note: You can only use VssID when you have been issued an account by the Social Insurance of Vietnam on the mobile application. To register a VssID account, follow the instructions in this article.

How to look up your social insurance number through VssID

Looking up your social insurance number through VssID is extremely simple. Follow the steps below:

Step 1. After downloading and installing the VssID application, log in with the account issued by the Insurance Agency.

Step 2. Access the Lookup section at the bottom of the screen and select Lookup social insurance number.

Step 3. Enter the Province – City (where you are insured), Name, and choose one piece of information in the Options section to make the search result accurate.

Step 4. Press the Search button for VssID to return the result. Click on the eye icon for more details.

Looking up the expiration date of your health insurance card

Step 1. In the VssID application, click on Personal management > HEALTH INSURANCE CARD. You can track your health insurance card number, place of registration, 5-year continuous period, and benefit information.

Step 2. Click on Use card or Card image to provide it to the medical facility when seeking medical treatment.
