How to use Titanium Backup
How to create the first backup
When running Titanium Backup, you should ensure that this app and the BusyBox app do not display any alerts. Then choose Backup/Restore -> Menu -> select Batch to display the Batch Backup/Restore – All screen.
There are 2 storage options: store all or only store apps on the phone.
If you want to store apps, choose RUN – Backup all user apps -> select Select All to mark all items with a green checkmark, run Backing up completed, and the app will automatically return to the Backup/Restore section.
If you want to store everything, choose RUN – Backup all user apps + system data -> select Select All to mark all items with a green checkmark, run Backing up, and the app will automatically return to the Backup/Restore section.
After completing these steps, the app does not always back up the phone’s contacts and SMS message history. The app will have separate settings for each marked green item. These items include call log, bookmark, launcher, WiFi, calendar, etc.
After completing the above steps, all the data to be stored will appear in the TitaniumBackup folder on the device’s SD card. The storage process may take a few minutes, depending on the number of apps. Titanium Backup ensures that the storage process runs smoothly even when the device screen is turned off.
Once the first backup is completed, you don’t need to back up everything again, you should only back up newly installed or updated apps. As for apps that contain frequently changing data, you should label them by choosing Click to edit filters in the Batch Backup/Restore – ALL screen and selecting Create label. You can schedule data backup for these labels.
