Clean the pot or utensils used for cooking rice. It is recommended to use a microwave-safe pot, preferably a clay pot.
Pour a cup of rice into the pot and add plenty of water to wash the rice thoroughly. It is advised to wash the rice at least twice.
After washing the rice, carefully pour out the water to avoid spilling the rice.
Add a cup and a half of water to the pot, cover it, and put it into the microwave. The amount of water needed for cooking rice may vary depending on the type of rice used. Each type of rice may require a specific amount of water to achieve the desired consistency. Using too little or too much water can result in dry or sticky rice.
Set the timer for 12 to 15 minutes after putting the rice pot into the microwave.
Once the set time is up, turn off the microwave, take out the rice pot, and wipe off any spilled water on the microwave turntable with a clean cloth. Allow the pot to cool for approximately 5 minutes before using it again for other dishes.
Open the rice pot, use a wooden spoon to stir the rice well, then scoop the rice into a bowl and enjoy. Typically, 1 cup of rice will yield approximately 3 cups of cooked rice, depending on the number of family members and the desired amount of rice.
