Start by washing the cucumbers thoroughly with water and a bit of salt. Use a mandoline or a sharp knife to slice the cucumbers into thin strips. Place the cucumber slices in a colander and sprinkle with 1 teaspoon of salt. Toss gently to coat and let it sit for about 5 minutes to draw out the excess moisture. Meanwhile, peel and finely chop the garlic. Wash and chop the dill and green onion.
