According to Sohu, urologist Dai Ding En recently posted on Facebook, emphasizing the importance of Kegel exercises in strengthening the pelvic floor muscles. Dr. Dai stated that many people who engage in sports such as basketball or running may experience unexpected urinary incontinence and a loss of flexibility in their private parts. These issues could be related to weak pelvic floor muscles. With regular Kegel exercises, men can take control of their health and prevent these issues, dedicating just 3 minutes a day for 24-hour peace of mind.

The pelvic floor muscles extend from the pubic bone to the coccyx and are responsible for controlling urination, supporting internal organs, and enhancing sexual function. When these muscles weaken, even simple activities like sneezing, squatting, or running can lead to embarrassing accidents. Dr. Dai emphasizes that Kegel exercises can strengthen these muscles, bringing benefits not only in sports and bladder control but also in the bedroom.

To identify the correct pelvic floor muscles, Dr. Dai suggests trying the “mid-flow urine stop” technique when urinating. The feeling of the muscles clenching is the pelvic floor muscles contracting. Once identified, you can start the exercise by simultaneously contracting the urethral and anal sphincter muscles, holding for 3-5 seconds, and then relaxing. It is recommended to perform 3 sets of 10 repetitions daily, with 3-5 second breaks in between. This exercise can be done anytime, such as during work, lunch breaks, or while brushing your teeth before bed.

Dr. Dai asserts, “While working out builds a strong body, Kegel exercises ensure a healthy and robust private part.” He encourages men to give it a try, as just 3 minutes of daily exercise will give you 24-hour confidence and peace of mind.
