Lemon Ginger Tea
Lemons are rich in Vitamin C and antioxidants, which help stimulate the liver to produce detox enzymes. Ginger, on the other hand, is a powerful anti-inflammatory and aids the liver in flushing out toxins.
Directions: Squeeze the juice of one lemon and grate a thumb-sized piece of ginger. Add these to 250ml of warm water (around 40°C). Drink this first thing in the morning.
Note: Avoid using water that is too hot as it can reduce the nutritional value of the lemon juice.

Celery Juice
Celery is a natural diuretic and contains apigenin and luteolin, which help reduce inflammation and support liver detoxification. It also helps take the load off the kidneys.
Directions: Wash 3-4 stalks of celery and put them through a juicer. You can dilute the juice with 100ml of water. Drink this 15 minutes before breakfast.
Note: Those with low blood pressure should consult a doctor before consuming celery juice regularly.
Artichoke Tea
Artichoke tea is packed with cynarin and silymarin, two compounds that aid in liver cell regeneration and enhance its detox capabilities. This tea also helps the kidneys filter waste more efficiently.
Directions: Simmer 5-7 slices of dried (or fresh) artichoke in 500ml of water for 10 minutes. Let it cool down a bit and drink it in the morning.
Note: You can add a drizzle of honey to make it more palatable, but avoid overdoing it with the sweet stuff.

Turmeric Ginger Water
Both turmeric and ginger boast potent anti-inflammatory properties, supporting the liver in its detoxification process. Curcumin, the active compound in turmeric, also protects the kidneys from oxidative damage.
Directions: Slice a small piece of ginger and a fresh turmeric root (or use 1/2 teaspoon of ground turmeric). Simmer these with 300ml of water for 5 minutes. Strain the liquid and let it cool before drinking.
Note: Add a squeeze of lemon juice to enhance the absorption of curcumin.
Cucumber Mint Detox Water
Cucumbers are packed with water and minerals, making them a natural diuretic that helps flush out the kidneys. Mint aids digestion and supports the liver in its detoxification process.
Directions: Slice half a cucumber and add it to a jug with 5-6 mint leaves and 500ml of water. Leave it in the fridge overnight. Drink it the next morning.
Note: For added flavor, you can also add a few slices of lemon or green apple.
