Lemon Ginger Tea

Lemons are rich in Vitamin C and antioxidants, which help stimulate the liver to produce detox enzymes. Ginger, on the other hand, is a powerful anti-inflammatory and aids the liver in flushing out toxins.

Directions: Slice one small knob of ginger and add it to a pot with 300ml of water. Bring it to a boil and let it simmer for 5 minutes. Add the juice of one lemon and drink it first thing in the morning.

Note: For better absorption of curcumin, add a pinch of black pepper.

Celery Juice

Celery is a natural diuretic and contains apigenin and luteolin, which help reduce inflammation and support liver detoxification. It also helps take the load off the kidneys by promoting urine production.

Directions: Wash 3-4 stalks of celery and put them in a juicer. You can dilute the juice with 100ml of water. Drink it 15 minutes before breakfast.

Note: Those with low blood pressure should consult a doctor before consuming celery juice regularly.

Artichoke Tea

Artichoke tea is packed with cynarin and silymarin, two compounds that aid in liver cell regeneration and enhance the liver’s detoxification function. This tea also helps the kidneys filter waste more efficiently.

Directions: Boil 5-7 slices of dried (or fresh) artichoke with 500ml of water for 10 minutes. Let it cool down and drink it in the morning. You can add a teaspoon of honey to make it more palatable, but avoid overdoing it with sugar.

Turmeric Ginger Water

Both turmeric and ginger have potent anti-inflammatory properties, supporting the liver in its toxin-processing role. Curcumin, found in turmeric, also protects the kidneys from oxidative damage.

Directions: Slice one small knob of ginger and one fresh turmeric root (or use 1/2 teaspoon of ground turmeric). Boil them with 300ml of water for 5 minutes. Strain the water and let it cool. Add a few drops of lemon juice to enhance curcumin absorption.

Cucumber Mint Detox Water

Cucumbers are hydrating and mineral-rich, promoting diuresis and kidney cleansing. Mint stimulates digestion and supports the liver in its detoxification process.

Directions: Slice half a cucumber and add it to a jar with 5-6 mint leaves and 500ml of water. Refrigerate overnight and drink it in the morning. For added flavor, you can also add a few slices of lemon or green apple.
