Leading up to the grand finale, Mr. and Mrs. Phúc, along with some relatives, traveled by train from Phú Yên to Huế to cheer on their daughter, Trúc Linh. As elementary school teachers with limited knowledge of entertainment events, Mr. Phúc advised his daughter to thoroughly research the program and understand the criteria when she shared her intention to participate in a beauty pageant.
“Trúc Linh received help from many friends who lent her clothes and shoes. She asked me for money twice, once for one million VND and another time for 600,000 VND,” Mr. Phúc shared.
The family was unable to attend the preliminary round in Hanoi at the end of April due to the illness of Trúc Linh’s grandmother, whom she was very close to. A few weeks later, Trúc Linh’s spirits were dampened as she received the sad news of her grandmother’s passing.
“Her schedule will likely be packed after her victory, and I hope she has the energy to fulfill her new responsibilities. In 2023, after being crowned as the Finance and Marketing University’s beauty queen, she fell ill due to the pressure,” expressed the concerned father.

According to Trúc Linh’s family, she has always been obedient and diligent, sharing her father’s quiet and reserved personality. However, when she sets her mind to something, she gives it her all. In ninth grade, she started to tower over her peers, and this difference made her self-conscious for a while. As she entered university, she became more confident and outgoing. While her family steered her towards becoming an English teacher, she chose to pursue a different path and enrolled in a different major.
Due to their teaching commitments, Mr. and Mrs. Phúc could only accompany their daughter to Ho Chi Minh City for her enrollment once. Since then, she has been living independently in the city. In addition to her tuition fees, her parents provide her with a monthly allowance of six million VND for her living expenses. Occasionally, she works as a model, earning a few hundred thousand VND.
As Trúc Linh embarks on her journey as a beauty queen and enters showbiz, her parents remain supportive and confident in her ability to balance her new responsibilities. “I believe she knows how to organize and balance her life,” said Mrs. Hằng, adding, “I hope she can use her influence to promote the cultural and tourist attractions of Phú Yên.”
Watch the moment Hà Trúc Linh impressed the judges with her graceful and confident answer during the Q&A portion of the pageant.
Hà Trúc Linh, standing at 1.72m tall with measurements of 80-59-95 cm, captivated the judges and audience with her intelligence and poise. Her journey to the crown was no surprise to many, as she had consistently performed well throughout the various rounds of the competition. Leading up to the finale, several beauty forums and pages had already predicted her victory.
During the pageant’s reality show, she excelled in numerous challenges, and her talent was recognized by fashion houses who invited her to model for their professional fashion shows. Her win at the Hoa Hậu Việt Nam 2024 pageant earned her a cash prize of 500 million VND.
Hoa Hậu Việt Nam, initiated and organized by Tiền Phong Newspaper, first began in 1988 as the Hoa Hậu Hội Báo Tiền Phong pageant. Bùi Bích Phương from Hanoi was crowned the first winner. Over the years, despite the proliferation of beauty pageants, Hoa Hậu Việt Nam has maintained its quality and unique charm. Many winners of this pageant have gone on to achieve success in various fields and have become well-known figures in Vietnam.
