Modern medicine has proven that abdominal massage can make the intestines, stomach, and muscles healthier, while increasing digestion and bowel movement, promoting blood circulation, and being beneficial for the digestive system. According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, the abdomen is the palace of the five viscera, as well as the source of qi and blood, Yin and Yang.

It is said that he possessed the medical technique of “bringing the dead back to life.” Holding the secrets of longevity that few knew, Bian Que lived to be 97 years old, while the average lifespan of ancient people stopped at 30.
Bian Que, the divine physician, believed that frequent abdominal massage helps to regulate the gastrointestinal tract, promote blood circulation, and eliminate ailments.

Abdominal massage: move from left to right (clockwise)
Bian Que’s abdominal massage technique
1. Abdominal massage position
Bian Que believed that massaging the abdomen while standing straight is not as effective as sitting and massaging the abdomen. However, massaging the abdomen while sitting is not as effective as massaging the abdomen while lying on your back.
Thus, massaging the abdomen while lying on your back is considered the most accurate position, providing the best health benefits!
2. Timing
The abdomen is the place where the internal organs concentrate and where many meridians are located. Therefore, abdominal massage should not be performed when the organs are in abnormal conditions (fullness, hunger, diarrhea, abdominal pain).
In addition, before massaging the abdomen, you should empty your bladder for comfort in the abdominal area. Absolutely do not massage in cases of acute abdominal inflammation, abdominal tumors, intestinal perforation, or gastrointestinal perforation.
The golden time for abdominal massage is one hour after a meal.
At this time, the stomach has digested most of the food, and the massaging will not put pressure on the stomach. It also helps promote blood circulation and supports the absorption and elimination process.
Therefore, massaging the abdomen at this time is particularly beneficial for the organs, ensuring a healthy body and minimizing the risk of diseases.
Lie down and massage the abdomen counterclockwise.
3. Movements and breathing
The proper technique of massaging the abdomen and correct breathing is crucial. If we neglect this, the longevity technique may have adverse effects.
Before starting, we need to take 9 deep breaths. Then, place the right hand on the navel and the left hand presses on the right palm.
Next, using the navel as the center, massage the abdomen counterclockwise from the inside to the outside, continuously for 36 times before switching hands.
