Mi Hong Gold Company is leading the market with its purchase price of up to 88.3 million VND per tael for SJC gold bars, with a selling price of 89 million VND per tael. The buying price has surged by 1 million VND per tael, while the selling price remains stable. This could be the highest buying price for SJC gold bars among gold enterprises in the market.
Meanwhile, the prices of 99.99% purity gold rings and jewelry have also witnessed changes. SJC Company listed the buying price of gold rings at 87 million VND per tael and the selling price at 88.5 million VND per tael. PNJ Company sold smooth gold rings at 88.89 million VND per tael, while the DOJI Group’s selling price dropped to 88.7 million VND per tael. These prices mark a significant decrease of up to 200,000 VND per tael compared to the morning session. This is also the first time in several days that gold ring prices have reversed their upward trend.
Gold rings and 99.99% purity jewelry prices have taken a sharp downturn.
Notably, domestic gold prices declined amidst volatile international gold prices. By the end of the day, Vietnam time, international gold prices rebounded to $2,733 per ounce, a slight increase from the morning session. During the session, the precious metal even touched $2,741 per ounce, approaching the historical peak of around $2,758 per ounce.
Given the significant fluctuations in international gold prices, Mr. Nguyen Duc Len, Deputy Director of the State Bank of Vietnam – Ho Chi Minh City Branch, advised that domestic gold prices are influenced by volatile international prices, which are market factors. People and customers with a demand for buying or holding gold should exercise caution and carefully consider their decisions to avoid risks associated with price volatility.
“As the economy has been recovering well and returning to pre-COVID-19 normalcy, there are numerous opportunities and investment channels to choose from. People can invest in expanding production, business, and services; financial markets; bank deposits, etc., to achieve the highest returns, safety, efficiency, and sustainability,” said Mr. Nguyen Duc Len.
