Ingredients:

– 1.5 kg fresh shrimp

– Spices: 1 clove garlic, 2-3 fresh chili peppers, chili powder, black pepper, 2 tablespoons shrimp salt, 2 tablespoons honey.

Instructions:

Peel and devein the shrimp, leaving the tail and head intact. Make a slit along the back of the shrimp and butterfly it open, then rinse and pat dry with a paper towel.

Peel and crush the garlic. Blend the chili peppers and garlic into a smooth paste.

In a bowl, combine the shrimp with the chili-garlic paste, chili powder, black pepper, shrimp salt, and honey. Adjust the amount of chili, chili powder, and black pepper to your taste preference.

Marinate the shrimp for about 30 minutes, then place them in an air fryer or oven and cook at a low temperature for 5.5 hours. Flip the shrimp every 40-50 minutes to ensure even cooking. For chewier shrimp, reduce the cooking time to 4 hours.

If possible, sun-dry the shrimp for a few hours. The shrimp will turn a beautiful red color and emit a mouth-watering aroma.

Just before serving, toss the shrimp in an air fryer or oven for a few minutes, or pan-fry them until crispy. Serve with chili sauce on the side.
