Phlegm and Cough Remedy

Use 15 grams of perilla leaves and 3 grams of dried ginger. Boil these ingredients and drink the decoction twice a day.

Abdominal Pain from Food Poisoning

Crush fresh perilla leaves and filter the juice for drinking, or use 10 grams of dried perilla leaves to make a decoction.

Detoxification Recipe

Use 10 grams of perilla leaves, 4 grams of licorice root, and 8 grams of fresh ginger. Boil these ingredients with 600ml of water until approximately 200ml remains. Divide and drink it warm, three times.

Allergy and Itch Relief

Crush fresh perilla leaves and apply the paste to affected skin areas. Alternatively, boil the leaves and use the water to wash the irritated skin.

Relieving Abdominal Distension and Nausea

Crush fresh perilla leaves and mix the juice with a little salt for drinking. Pregnant women experiencing nausea can drink a decoction made from perilla leaves.

Treating Vomiting and Diarrhea

Clean perilla leaves and boil them to infuse the water with nutrients. Reduce this liquid to a thick syrup. Mix roasted red beans with the perilla concentrate to form a soft, pliable mass. Shape this mixture into small pills, the size of green peas. Consume 50 pills, twice a day.

Precautions

Perilla leaves have a spicy and warm nature, so individuals with high fevers or excessive sweating should refrain from using them. Additionally, those suffering from wind-cold conditions characterized by fever, chills, and thirst should also avoid perilla leaves.
