What are the bad eating habits that can cause diseases in a person?

1. Skipping breakfast

In the past, our ancestors always followed the rule “eat a full breakfast, have a moderate lunch, eat a light dinner”. But nowadays, many people do the opposite. Laziness in the morning, coping with the afternoon, and “compensating” for the entire day after work are among the main reasons for the occurrence of various diseases.

Aside from difficulty concentrating and slow thinking, skipping breakfast also affects the process of gastric acid secretion and bile secretion, leading to gastritis, gallstones, and other gastrointestinal diseases.

A study conducted by the University of Erlangen in Germany has shown that people who neglect breakfast have an average lifespan that is 2.5 years shorter than those who maintain the habit of eating breakfast.

2. Eating too fast

In today’s society, with increasing social pressure, people are often in a state of tension and tend to eat quickly for convenience. But doing so is not good for your health.

If you eat too fast, food cannot be chewed properly, which can damage the mucous membranes of the digestive tract and cause chronic inflammation. Moreover, eating quickly, especially large portions of food, can form lumps that mechanically stimulate the esophagus, eventually leading to the development of cancer.

3. Not drinking enough water

70% of the human body is water, and 90% of the constituents in blood originate from water. Therefore, to a certain extent, “water quality determines blood quality, and blood quality determines physical condition”.

Some people substitute filtered water with sweetened drinks and carbonated beverages, but this method is unscientific. The biggest danger in drinks comes from “sugar”! The more sugary drinks you consume, the higher the risk of premature death.

4. Smoking and drinking alcohol

For a long time, it has been known that smoking (tobacco) is harmful to your health. Numerous studies have also revealed that smoking can cause various types of cancer including throat cancer, digestive system cancer, lung cancer, and oral cancer.

Our ancestors passed down the wisdom that the easiest yet hardest thing for a person to do in order to stay healthy is: Control your mouth, move your feet, and don’t be greedy for material possessions.

1. Lack of exercise

Stand up and move around if you don’t want to get sick or have diseases due to lack of exercise.

Many people use busy work schedules as an excuse and claim they don’t have time for any form of physical activity. But there is one of the simplest and easiest exercises that anyone can do, and that is walking.

According to research, walking can activate multiple organs such as bones, muscles, tendons, and joints throughout the entire body. It not only strengthens muscle power, stretches muscles and bones, but also makes joints more flexible.

Health experts also recommend that regular individuals should take 4,000 steps per day. Of course, everyone has a different physique, so you should still do what you can and not overexert yourself.

For example, some people walk tens of thousands of steps a day, but it is a burden on the body and excessive exercise can cause high pressure on the knees.
