“An Urban Green Oasis in the Heart of Tay Do”

The residents of Can Tho now have a new “green destination” to relax, unwind, and enjoy a peaceful atmosphere in the heart of the city.

From the Zen garden inspired by Japanese style, to the vibrant fields of mimosa flowers, and the lush tree-lined roads along Lac Long Quan Street in Binh Thuy Square, they all paint a tranquil, poetic, and vibrant picture amidst the modern pace of life.

Not only is this green space beloved by the youth and widely shared on social media, but it has also become a familiar relaxation spot for many families on weekends. Here, every step is calming under the cool shade of the trees, with kites swaying in the afternoon breeze, creating a poetic scene and a serene atmosphere.

This “green destination” is located in the heart of a new and modern urban area – KITA Airport City. Apart from its impressive green spaces and landscapes, the area also boasts a strong cultural identity with community spaces that showcase traditional values and host various cultural, sports, and tourism events of regional significance.

A notable landmark within this landscape is the Temple of the Hung Kings, located at the beginning of Lac Long Quan Street, the main thoroughfare of this airport urban area. The architecture is a beautiful blend of ethnic styles, featuring stylized dong drums and folk patterns, set against a peaceful natural backdrop, evoking the solemnity and historical significance of the 18 generations of Hung Kings, enhancing Can Tho’s cultural and historical value in the flow of urbanization.

The green presence extends beyond the 154-hectare KITA Airport City, reaching popular nearby tourist destinations such as Con Son, the fruit gardens along the Hau River, and the shady trees along Vo Van Kiet Boulevard, which directly connects to Can Tho Airport. This harmonious blend of urban development and nature offers a wholesome living experience in the heart of a modernizing city.

This also showcases the appeal and potential of an airport urban area as a new cultural, entertainment, sports, and tourism hub for the region of Tay Do.

A Vertical Eco-Core in a Green City

With its relentless efforts in environmental protection and sustainable development, Can Tho has been recognized as a “National Green City” by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) in 2024. Previously, the city had also been honored as an “ASEAN Environmental Sustainable City” for the fifth time in 2021 and received the title of “ASEAN City with Sustainable Environmental Potential in the Field of Air” in 2017.

Recognizing the importance of green spaces in improving the climate, protecting the environment, and enhancing the city’s landscape, Can Tho has consistently aimed for green development, striving towards the United Nations’ recommended standard of a minimum of 10 square meters of green space per person. As land resources in the city center become limited, experts suggest that Can Tho should focus on developing green spaces in new urban areas and peri-urban areas, incorporating green infrastructure models such as rooftop gardens, green walls, green roofs, and ecological sidewalks.

KITA Group is contributing to this vision by investing in the development of green spaces at KITA Airport City, a modern and complex urban area that prioritizes a high density of green spaces throughout the project. This includes green sidewalks, parks, and gardens within the commercial apartment clusters, as well as distinctive features such as a sports park and a lake with illuminated water.

One of the most anticipated developments is the Stella Icon luxury apartment complex, which spans over 6,000 square meters and consists of an 18-story tower. It features a “vertical eco-core,” incorporating natural green spaces distributed vertically, creating a visual effect akin to a giant tree amidst low-rise urban development. With a construction density of only 37.25%, Stella Icon is an ideal choice for residents who appreciate a green lifestyle, seamlessly blending nature with modern architecture to provide a serene urban living experience.

KITA Airport City offers thousands of commercial townhouses, villas, and luxury apartments integrated with a complete range of internal utilities, including administrative, educational, and medical centers, a commercial center, parks, and a sports complex.
