Login to Your Gmail Account
To import your contacts from Gmail, follow these steps:
- Visit the Gmail website and log in to your account.
- If you haven’t lost any contacts and just want to import contacts from Gmail, you can skip to Step 4 below.
Restore Your Contacts
- In your Gmail account, click on “More” and then “Restore Contacts”.
Choose the Correct Time
When restoring your contacts, make sure to select the correct time when your contacts were deleted. This is important to ensure that the device brings back the correct contacts.
Sync with your Android Device
- On your Android device, go to “Settings” and then “Accounts”.
- Select “Add account”.
- Choose “Google”.
- Sign in with your Gmail account.
Check Your Contacts
- Go to the “Contacts” section on your Android device to see if all your contacts have been restored.
- If you don’t see your contacts, select “Contacts to display” and choose “Google” to ensure a successful sync.
Notes:
- Make sure the previous Gmail account is signed in to your phone.
- Choose the correct deletion time of your contacts.
- If contacts still don’t appear, check if your account has been properly synced and ensure the contacts are set to display as “Google”.
