1 Use Dish Soap

Step 2: The next day, place the pot with the salt water solution on the stove and bring it to a boil. As the salt water boils, the caramel will soften, making it easier to scrub.
Step 3: Once the water boils, turn off the heat, pour out the water, and use a sponge to scrub away the caramel. Finally, rinse the pot with clean water.
