In her view, failure is not an endpoint but a stepping stone. Missing out on a desired college, for instance, might lead to attending another institution where we meet lifelong friends. The key is to not let the past hold us back.

2. Express Your Joy

Joy is meant to be shared. Whether it’s a neighbor dropping by or a granddaughter bringing a delicious treat, she doesn’t hide her enthusiasm but expresses her delight wholeheartedly.

She believes that older individuals shouldn’t be grumpy but should instead spread optimism and set a positive example for younger generations. Instead of dwelling in worry, she chooses to embrace a cheerful attitude and look forward with hope.

3. Understand and Care for Others

As a former elementary school teacher, she once helped a student overcome their fear of multiplication tables simply by paying attention to their needs. She noticed that genuine concern and interest in others can create strong bonds.
