After every dishwashing, this is the first thing I need to do immediately

I just want to emphasize on the crucial step we need to take after doing the dishes. To me, this is essential for maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen.

I have a habit of filling the sink with dirty dishes before starting to wash them. Sometimes I try washing each dish immediately after using it, but I still only feel inspired to wash when the sink is full of dishes. However, I don’t just throw them randomly in the sink as you might imagine.

Instead, I will arrange the dirty dishes neatly in the sink after rinsing off the leftover food. This way, when I start washing them, it feels much easier and less laborious. At the end of the day or when the sink is full, that’s when I start washing.

In this article, I’m not going to discuss how to wash dishes thoroughly, but I just want to share the very important task that we need to do after washing dishes. For me, it’s essential to keep the sink clean and hygienic. That is scrubbing the sink.

We try to wash the dishes clean and arrange them neatly on the shelf, but we often forget that the sink also needs to be taken care of just like the dishes. You see, leftover food and grease constantly flow into the sink, and if you don’t clean it thoroughly, the sink will quickly become dull, deteriorate, and not to mention be a breeding ground for bacteria. Remember that grease stains and food residue are the enemy of the appearance of the sink.

This is an extremely necessary task to keep your kitchen sink always clean, shiny like new, and durable. This task is not as complicated as you think. Just after each time washing dishes, when the sink is empty, you put a little dish soap in the sink and use the old dish scrubber to scrub the surface clean, and it’s done.

In addition, once a week, you can sprinkle some baking soda into the sink, put dish soap on the old dish scrubber, add some hot water, and then start scrubbing the sink.
