1. Clean the cooker hood vents
The cooker hood vents above the stove are the dirtiest place as they accumulate a lot of grease. To clean them, you can:
– Remove the cooker hood vents.
– Boil water in a large stainless steel pot.
– Add about 1/4 cup of baking soda until the water boils and foams.
– Let your cooker hood vents boil in this mixture.
– If you have smaller pots, you will need to flip the cooker hood vents multiple times – leave them for about 60 seconds so that the grease can be flushed away.
After this process, your cooker hood vents will look completely new.
2. Clean your kitchen tiles
– Sprinkle baking soda on the tiles.
– Use a spray bottle filled with vinegar cleaner (or 1/4 cup of bleach) and spray it on the baking soda.
– Let it sit for a few minutes and then use a brush to scrub off the dirt.
Note, don’t wait too long as after a while, the dirt will settle again.
3. Revive old pans
Making your pots and pans look brand new is a fairly easy task if you know this trick:
– Pour a thin layer of water into the pan.
– Add a few drops of vinegar.
– Place it on the stove, let it heat at medium to high temperature and boil the water.
– Take the pan off the heat and gradually add some baking soda.
– Pour the solution out of the pan and start scrubbing.
If the stains are too stubborn, you can rub the tough stains with a little cream of tartar (soda mixed with water, creating a paste mixture)
4. Polish the faucets
Cleaning the faucets will be much easier and faster if you do the following:
– Take a Ziploc bag or a small plastic bag.
– Add a mixture of vinegar and baking soda into the bag enough to cover the faucets.
– Tie the bag over the faucets and secure the bag with a rubber band.
– Wipe off the remaining solution and scrub off stubborn rust stains with an old toothbrush.
5. Clean the refrigerator
