1. Cleaning the sink

This area is a hotspot for bacteria and one of the dirtiest places in the house. Every nook and cranny of the sink can be a breeding ground for thousands of bacteria.

To clean the sink, mix lemon juice and salt to create a paste-like mixture similar to toothpaste. Use this mixture to gently scrub the inside and surfaces of the sink area. Then, rinse with water. This method will also help remove stubborn stains and grime from the sink. The lemon juice and salt mixture is suitable for various materials such as copper, stainless steel, etc.

2. Dissolving settled dirt

You can use lemon juice to clean wastewater, filter out impurities in the sewer, and reduce the acidity of the wastewater, which can be corrosive. The layer of waste formed from the accumulation of minerals in daily household wastewater, stuck in the sewer system of sinks, can cause clogs and pose health risks.

To deal with clogged drains, soak a sponge in fresh lemon juice until it absorbs the lemon juice evenly, then insert the sponge into the drain. After a few minutes, you can scrub the drain, try pouring as much water in to flush away the debris that has been cleaned by lemon juice.

3. Eliminating food smells

When food is left in the trash can for too long, it will emit a foul smell in the kitchen. Using an air freshener spray will make the odor more unpleasant. In this case, you should cut lemons in half, crush them and put them in the trash can to completely eliminate the odor. Lemon peels or orange peels also have a similar odor-neutralizing effect.

4. Cleaning the stove or spills outside

The stove is often dirty due to food or oil splatters during cooking. To clean the stove and spills, you can use a mixture of fresh lemon juice diluted with water and baking soda to create a thick paste. Use this mixture to spread evenly on the surface of the stove and areas with stains, leave it for about 15 minutes, then use a sponge to clean and rinse with water.

5. Removing odor from cutting boards

After being used to cut certain types of strongly scented foods such as garlic, onions, or fish, cutting boards often retain the odor. To remove the odor from the cutting board and prevent it from transferring to other foods in future uses, after thoroughly washing and cleaning the cutting board, you can use a little lemon juice to rub on the surface of the cutting board, scrub a few times or cut lemons in half and rub them on the cutting board, then rinse with clean water.
