2 How Much Does Covid-19 Testing Cost?
According to the direction of the Prime Minister, to facilitate foreigners working and living in Vietnam, as well as those who wish to obtain a negative certification of SARS-CoV-2 for the purpose of exiting Vietnam for labor, studying, and working abroad or moving within Vietnam.
Regarding the payment for Covid-19 testing, according to the Ministry of Health, the price of health insurance for Covid-19 testing services is classified as follows:
- Service No. 1735 includes real-time PCR testing for bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites, priced at VND 734,000/sample.
- Service No. 1736 includes rapid testing for bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites, with a price of VND 238,000/sample.
At private hospitals, molecular biology PCR testing costs from VND 1.5 – 4 million/sample depending on the hospital.
