Many people try to fry potatoes at home but they are not as crispy as in restaurants because they are not crispy. To make delicious french fries, you need to pay attention to the following two simple steps.
2. Prepare for frying
Step 1: Peel the potatoes, then cut them into bite-sized strips. Rinse the potatoes, then drain them.
Step 2: Pour a suitable amount of water into a pot, add the drained potato pieces, boil in hot water for about 1 minute, at this point the potatoes are basically cooked.
Step 3: Remove the potatoes and immediately put them in icy water to cool quickly. This step is crucial to make the french fries crispy. Then drain the potatoes.
Step 4: Coat the potatoes with flour evenly.
3. Fry the potatoes
Pour a suitable amount of cooking oil into a pot, heat on high heat, wait until the oil temperature reaches 70% and then add the coated potatoes, reduce the heat to medium and fry until the surface is slightly golden, then remove. Wait until the oil temperature rises again, then put the potato pieces back into the pot to fry again, doing so will make the fries crispy like in restaurants.
