A study conducted on 22,500 women in the United States revealed that those who consumed more than four servings of fruits and vegetables daily had a 10% lower risk of developing uterine fibroids compared to women who ate less. This conclusion was drawn from monitoring the participants’ dietary habits and medical diagnoses over a 12-year period.

Further analysis showed that the greatest benefits came from eating fresh fruit. Women who consumed two or more servings of fruit daily had an 11% lower risk of uterine fibroids compared to those who didn’t eat any fresh fruit.

The vitamins and nutrients found in fruit, including vitamin C, vitamin E, folate, and fiber, are believed to play a crucial role in reducing the risk of uterine fibroids. Vitamin A, present in some dairy products, is also thought to offer similar benefits.
