Sharing on Daily Mail page on December 15th, Hayes said, “Jasper (her 4-year-old son) has always been a person with good critical thinking skills, so Jasper has never really believed in the story of Santa Claus. He always points out that a man dressed like Santa Claus in a shopping center or at parties is just people in disguise, so I told the truth that Santa Claus doesn’t exist.”

Hayes added, “Jasper is a truly intelligent child, I am always open, honest and realistic, so Jasper was not shocked or uncomfortable when my child was old enough to understand that Santa Claus is just a story.”

Hayes and Pritchard have been honest with their child that Santa Claus is not real.

Hayes’ husband, Sam Pritchard (22 years old), also agrees with his wife’s decision.

“We both totally agree on this. We want to be honest with Jasper,” said Pritchard.

Although not believing in Santa Claus, Hayes said the whole family still enjoys Christmas and wakes up early to open gifts like everyone else.

Hayes said, “If you ask Jasper if Christmas is the favorite day, my child will answer with the most enthusiastic yes.”

Hayes recalled, “When a commercial with Santa Claus appeared, Jasper asked me why people dressed up as Santa Claus, and I explained the story of Saint Nicholas living hundreds of years ago. But then Jasper came to the conclusion that Saint Nick was too old and dead, and that’s why Saint Nick can’t give gifts to children anymore.”

Jasper, this 4-year-old child doesn’t believe Santa Claus is real.

Some TikTok users have criticized Hayes and Pritchard in the comments on Hayes’ video.

“The problem is when they have ruined Christmas for other children who still believe in Santa Claus,” one person criticized.

“Luckily my parents are not like that, and I still love Christmas with all my heart,” another person said.

Hayes said that despite the hate that the internet has and is criticizing, she feels happy because she honestly told her child that Santa Claus is not real.

Hayes is proud that her child has come to the conclusion that Santa Claus is not real.
