1. Attach a plastic bag to the broom

When it comes to sweeping the floor without a vacuum cleaner, using a broom is a given. However, if there is too much shed hair on the floor, after sweeping, the hair will stick to the broom bristles, regardless of the material. This means you will have to sit there and carefully pluck each hair strand from where it doesn’t belong and throw it away in the trash, doubling your sadness.

To solve this problem, all you need to do is attach a plastic bag to the broom and sweep as usual. When the plastic bag comes into contact with the floor and hair, the hair will stick to the bag. After sweeping, you just need to remove the bag, turn it inside out, and you will be able to gather all the shed hair.

If you have pets like dogs or cats, you can also use this method to clean their fur without causing them to go flying everywhere and reduce the chances of inhaling pet hair after each sweeping.

2. Wrap paper towel around the vacuum cleaner filter

If you own a cheap vacuum cleaner that doesn’t separate the dust collection container from the filter, try wrapping a layer of paper towel around the filter. Although this will slightly reduce the power and suction of the vacuum cleaner, it will make cleaning the filter much easier.
