By fitting a large convex mirror, taking advantage of the old truck’s mirror, Mr. Hung in Uong Bi (Quang Ninh) said he no longer worries about scratching his car when parking inside the house.
He installed it in the corner of the house, cleverly using the water pipe to save costs. “Sitting and looking, I came up with this idea,” he shared the method in a Facebook group with people who have similar cars.
Mr. Hung fit a convex mirror using a truck mirror and a water pipe
“Previously, there was already a piece of wood placed under the floor of the house, but since installing this mirror, I mainly balance with the mirror, if I miss my step then there is no chance,” Mr. Hung said. “The house is not spacious so I have to adapt.”
Mr. Hung’s sharing has received hundreds of likes and comments on social media. “Very creative, the cost is a few hundred thousand to limit scratches, and it doesn’t take effort to go down the car to look out,” Facebook user Quoc Trung commented. “It’s worth learning for drivers, especially those who park their cars in narrow spaces.”
Placing a piece of wood under the floor is also a way to balance the car when parking inside the house
“I see that people abroad also like to do it this way. In Vietnam, it is even more creative to use a convex mirror from an old truck and a support made from a water pipe,” member Vuong Bach shared. “The installation cost is not much but it helps to avoid the cost of repainting the car.”
Some other members also shared their methods of parking in narrow spaces inside the house. “I place a piece of wood under the floor, just pass that curb and the car’s front end is exactly 2 centimeters away from the wall,” commented Mr. Le Quoc. “Of course, I have to be very light with the accelerator and brake.”
