Group 1: Students in this group do not receive any priority points and are considered for graduation based on standard criteria.

Group 2: Students in the following categories will receive 0.25 priority points:

D2-TB2: Disabled soldiers, wounded soldiers, or those entitled to the same benefits as wounded soldiers with a loss of working capacity of less than 81%; children of disabled soldiers, wounded soldiers, or those entitled to the same benefits with a loss of working capacity of less than 81%; labor heroes and armed forces heroes.

D2-CAH: Children of labor heroes, armed forces heroes, or Vietnamese Heroic Mothers.

D2-TS2: Ethnic minority students.

D2-SV2: Kinh people or foreigners residing in Vietnam with permanent residence for at least 3 years as of the exam date, living in specially difficult towns, border communes, or security zones covered by Program 135; specially difficult communes in coastal and island areas; or communes in areas I, II, and III in mountainous and ethnic minority regions as defined by the Prime Minister’s regulations. These students must have attended high schools that are not located in the inner districts of centrally-controlled municipalities for at least ⅔ of their high school years.

D2-CHU: Individuals affected by toxic chemicals used during the war; children of individuals affected by toxic chemicals used during the war or individuals with war resistance activities who were affected by toxic chemicals; individuals recognized by competent authorities as having deformities, deformations, or reduced ability to work or perform daily activities due to the effects of toxic chemicals.

D2-T35: Individuals aged 35 or older as of the exam date.

Group 3: Students in the following categories will receive 0.5 priority points:

D3-TS3: Ethnic minority students with permanent residence in specially difficult communes, border communes, security zones covered by Program 135; specially difficult communes in coastal and island areas; or communes in areas I, II, and III in mountainous and ethnic minority regions as defined by the Prime Minister’s regulations. These students must be attending boarding schools for ethnic minorities or high schools that are not located in the inner districts of centrally-controlled municipalities.

D3-TB3: Disabled soldiers, wounded soldiers, or those entitled to the same benefits as wounded soldiers with a loss of working capacity of 81% or more (applies only to GDTX).

D3-CLS: Children of martyrs; children of wounded soldiers, disabled soldiers, or those entitled to the same benefits as wounded soldiers with a loss of working capacity of 81% or more.

Note: Students are only eligible for priority points from the highest applicable category, even if they meet the criteria for multiple categories.

Bonus Points for High School Graduation Consideration

Similar to priority points, the number of bonus points awarded depends on the student’s graduation category. If a student has multiple certificates that qualify for bonus points, the maximum number of bonus points they can receive is 4 points. The specific bonus points for each category are as follows:

Category 1: Individual awards in the 12th-grade academic competitions:
– First, second, or third prize at the national level or first prize at the provincial level: 2.0 points.
– Encouragement prize at the national level or second prize at the provincial level: 1.5 points.
– Third prize at the provincial level: 1.0 point.

Category 2: Individual and team awards in experimental, practical, physical education, sports, artistic, military education, scientific and technical competitions, and international letter-writing competitions organized by the education sector in collaboration with specialized sectors from the provincial level and above for high school students:
– First, second, or third prize at the national level or first prize at the provincial level or Gold Medal: 2.0 points
– Encouragement prize at the national level or second prize at the provincial level or Silver Medal: 1.5 points. 
– Third prize at the provincial level or Bronze Medal: 1.0 point.

Bonus points for high school graduation consideration for students with outstanding achievements

Note: Team awards are only considered at the national level, and the points awarded are the same as for individual awards. If a student receives multiple awards, only the points for the highest award will be counted.

Category 3: High school students or GDTX students with vocational certificates or intermediate diplomas issued by the Department of Education and Training or vocational schools during their high school years will receive bonus points.: 
– Vocational certificates with excellent grades, or intermediate diplomas with excellent or good grades: 2.0 points.
– Vocational certificates with good grades, or intermediate diplomas with satisfactory or average grades: 1.5 points.
– Vocational certificates with average grades, or intermediate diplomas with passing grades: 1.0 point.

Category 4: GDTX students with foreign language or computer skills certificates at level A or higher (including technicians): each certificate adds 1.0 point.

– The maximum number of bonus points from categories 1, 2, 3, and 4 is 4.0 points.

– Bonus points in categories 1, 2, 3, and 4 are valid for the entire grade level.
