Preparing Offerings to Pay Respects to President Ho Chi Minh
To commemorate and express our gratitude for President Ho Chi Minh’s contributions, each person may choose to show their respects in their own way. If you are unable to prepare a physical offering, you can simply join your hands in prayer to show your appreciation. For those who wish to prepare a small ceremony, here is a list of suggested offerings:
- Orchid flowers are preferred, but if unavailable, you may use five roses of different colors or a single color, depending on your preference and availability.
- Five types of fruits with five different colors. Avoid fruits with sharp thorns, and choose round, evenly shaped fruits.
- Cookies or candies, depending on your preference.
- Five cups of boiled water, cooled to room temperature.
- An oil lamp, with the lid opened and turned up when offering incense.
The ideal time for the ceremony is between 7 AM and 9 AM.
