The ninth episode of “The Ultimate Rookie” was filled with tension as the remaining contestants faced the challenging elimination round after the fifth evaluation.
Tóc Tiên’s team faced a difficult decision as they deliberated between keeping Hoàng Long, Lê Bin Thế Vĩ, or Nguyễn Thành Đạt. Tóc Tiên shared her thoughts on the contestants’ progress: “I’ve been observing their journey since the beginning, and I’ve narrowed it down to two candidates: Thành Đạt and Hoàng Long. I’m leaning towards keeping Hoàng Long, as he has shown great improvement. He started out quite inconspicuously, but his dedication to learning and positive attitude have made him stand out. It’s a tough decision.”
“Đạt, on the other hand, has the looks of an idol. That’s why he was one of the first four I chose, and his popularity among voters is only second to Duy, even reaching the top spot at times. He has a strong appeal to the audience”, she added.
Ultimately, Tóc Tiên decided to let go of Thành Đạt. Accepting his elimination gracefully, Đạt shared: “I had a feeling about today’s result, and I’m prepared to leave. I want to thank my family for their unwavering support, the production team, my fellow Top 30 contestants, and everyone else who has shown me love and treated me like family. Thank you all.”

Soobin Hoàng Sơn, on the other hand, had to make the tough call between Lương Gia Khiêm, Trung Anh, and Văn Liêm. Reflecting on his journey, Gia Khiêm shared: “As one journey ends, another begins. My passion for music will never fade.”
Lương Gia Khiêm’s elimination came as a surprise to many, as he was initially considered a strong contender with his good looks and talent. He even had prior experience in the entertainment industry, having released his own music videos.

Kay Trần’s team also bid farewell to Phan Thanh Hiển, who failed to make a significant impact during his time on the show.
Expressing his gratitude, Hiển shared: “I hope the remaining 18 contestants will give their best and not give up now that we’re two-thirds into the competition. Let’s not have any regrets.”

With three contestants eliminated, the remaining groups geared up for the challenging sixth evaluation. According to the rules, each all-round producer had to assign different representatives to compete in vocal, dance, and performance categories. The representatives from each group then collaborated to present their respective performances.
The sixth evaluation will be unveiled in the next episode of “The Ultimate Rookie – Survival Stage,” airing on June 15 at 8:30 pm.
