Tip: Good tofu is usually ivory-colored, not too bright white. This indicates that the tofu is made from natural ingredients without the use of bleaching chemicals. When gently pressed, it should feel soft, smooth, and elastic. Tofu that crumbles or breaks easily may contain excessive amounts of gypsum.
2 How to Make Tofu Glass Noodles
Step 1 Prepare the Ingredients
Soak 3 bundles of glass noodles in a bowl with enough boiling water to cover them. Stir and let them sit for 1-2 minutes until softened, then drain and set aside. Cut the softened noodles into shorter lengths. Wash and finely chop the green onions.

Place the firm tofu in a large bowl and crumble it with your hands. Season with 2 teaspoons of salt, 3 teaspoons of seasoning powder, 1 teaspoon of MSG, and 2 teaspoons of ground pepper. Mix well to ensure the tofu absorbs the flavors.
Next, add the chopped glass noodles and green onions to the tofu and mix thoroughly. Finally, add 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric powder to enhance the color of the dish when fried.

Prepare a mold and fill it with the seasoned tofu mixture, packing it tightly. Place the mold in a steamer with boiling water and steam for 20 minutes over medium heat.
Once cooked, remove the tofu from the mold and cut it into large pieces. At this stage, the tofu can be served as-is, but frying will add a delicious crispy texture.
