Rose with many thorns

Roses with many thorns are not good to burn incense according to feng shui because the sharp thorns create negative energy, affecting the ancestral spirits. Lily

Plumeria

Lotus
Lotus is a fragrant and beautiful flower, often planted in places like temples and pagodas. However, the shape of this flower resembles the female reproductive organ, so it is often avoided. Moreover, lotus flowers are often grown in places associated with temples and pagodas, so they should not be brought home as they may bring negative energy and bad luck.
Multicolored-dyed flowers

Verbena

Orchid
Orchids are expensive flowers and are often used for decoration, but rarely used for burning incense because the word “phong” is close to “phong tình” (affairs). Placing orchids on the altar can bring bad luck and threaten happiness and fortune due to the interference of third parties.
According to the beliefs of feng shui and spiritual worshiping, incense should be offered with monochromatic flower arrangements, not with many types of flowers, and should not use too many colors to create a solemn atmosphere.
