Preparation
Warm water.
1 tablespoon of detergent.
1 tablespoon of baking soda.
Procedure
Add hot water to the sink.
Then add baking soda and detergent, and soak the hat in the water before scrubbing.
Rinse with cold water afterwards.
Gently shape the hat and place it on a towel to dry.
If you have multiple hats to clean, you can use the bathtub instead of the sink, but you will need additional cleaning supplies:
Dish soap.
Hydrogen peroxide.
A brush.
Instructions:
In a small bowl, mix 1 part dish soap and 2 parts hydrogen peroxide.
Dip the brush into the solution and scrub the stains before rinsing with cold water and repeating if it is not clean.
This method is suitable for hats that are not heavily soiled. Note that you should not pour hydrogen peroxide directly onto the hat as it will fade the color.
