Honey
Honey can help to lighten dark lips and make them appear brighter and smoother. Honey inhibits the production of melanin pigment, helping lips to become pink and plump.
Apply 1/2 teaspoon of pure honey evenly onto the lips, repeating 2-3 times with a 2-minute interval. Leave it on the lips for about 5 minutes and then gently roll a cotton swab to exfoliate the dead skin. Rinse the lips with warm water and apply a moisturizing lip balm.
Perform this treatment 1-2 times a week, and you will see the effect of brighter and softer lips after a few weeks. However, it’s recommended to continue this routine regularly to maintain the beauty of your lips.
Coconut oil
Coconut oil is rich in vitamin E, which has many benefits for skin and hair. For lips, coconut oil helps to reduce lip pigmentation.
Take 1/2 teaspoon of coconut oil and apply it to your lips, leaving it on for about 5 minutes. Gently massage for about 3 minutes to exfoliate dead skin cells on the lips. Rinse the lips with warm water and apply a moisturizing lip balm. Perform this treatment 1-2 times a week to keep your lips soft and supple.
Yogurt
Yogurt contains various nutrients, including B vitamins, which act as a natural moisturizer and prevent dryness and chapping.
Take 1/2 teaspoon of unsweetened yogurt (you can mix it with 1/2 teaspoon of mashed kiwi or a small piece of mashed avocado) and apply the mixture to your lips. Leave it on for about 5 minutes.
Gently massage the lips for about 3 minutes to exfoliate the dead skin. Rinse the lips with warm water and apply a moisturizing lip balm.
Perform this treatment 1-2 times a week to keep your lips hydrated, smooth, and pink.
Egg
Egg yolk + oatmeal + honey create an effective lip mask. This formula can also be used as a face mask to achieve smooth, radiant, and even-toned skin.
Mix 1/2 egg yolk + 1/2 teaspoon of oatmeal + 1/2 teaspoon of honey into a thick paste. Apply the mixture evenly onto the lips and leave it on for 5 minutes. Gently massage for about 3 minutes to allow the mixture to penetrate the lips and exfoliate the dead skin. Rinse the lips with warm water and apply a moisturizing lip balm. Perform this treatment 1-2 times a week.
The lip mask is made from gentle ingredients, but it has exfoliating properties, so it’s recommended to not exceed 2 times per week. You can use any type of lip mask or alternate between different lip masks, but the maximum frequency should still be 2 times per week.
