When you know how to perform the steps for evening skincare, you will help your skin rejuvenate, stay healthy, and look vibrant. Nighttime is also an ideal time to nourish your skin because it is not affected by factors such as air pollution, sunscreen, or the harmful effects of UV rays.

Step 1: Makeup removal

Whether you wear makeup or simply use Sunscreen , this is a necessary step in your nighttime skincare routine. Many people, including both men and women, often associate “makeup removal” with makeup and believe that only women who wear Foundation, Lipstick… need to remove makeup in the evening.

This is a misconception about Makeup removal because besides the makeup layer, your skin still has residual dirt, excess oil, and dead skin cells clinging to it, which cannot be completely removed by water or Facial Cleanser alone. That’s why Makeup removal is the first step, softening and removing the dirt layers on the skin, opening the way for the next skincare steps.

Step 2: Facial cleanser

Even though you have used makeup remover, there may still be residual oil, dirt, or even a layer of makeup on your skin. That’s why you should use a facial cleanser to ensure deep cleansing of your skin.

Gently cleanse impurities, dirt, and excess oil without stripping away the skin’s natural oil, safe for sensitive skin.

Step 3: Toner / Lotion

Toner(or Rosewater) products help moisturize the skin and are often referred to as Lotion. After deep cleansing and exfoliating, the skin tends to be drier. Using Toner or Lotion at this step immediately moisturizes the skin and also removes any residue left after cleansing.

It is essential to balance the pH of your skin right after the Makeup removal and Facial cleanser steps. This step is crucial in preparing your skin for the best results with the next steps of applying nutrients to your skin. Or, simply after you cleanse your face in the morning, Toner is necessary right after that to ensure your skin is always sufficiently moisturized, smooth, and healthy.

Step 4: Face Mask

Face masks contain numerous nutrients and a large amount of moisture to cool, soothe, refresh, and revitalize the skin. Used immediately after the Toner/Lotion step, a face mask helps instantly supplement moisture to the facial skin (for dry skin), control oil, tighten pores (for oily skin), or generally provides both of these functions for combination skin.

Step 5: Serum

Serum (also known as Magic water or Essence) contains concentrated active ingredients to treat skin concerns such as moisturizing, brightening, reducing wrinkles, treating acne, or treating dark spots. Depending on your skin’s needs, choose the type of serum that suits you.

Step 6: Moisturizer

Even though there are quite a few steps to moisturize the skin, you should still use a moisturizer both day and night. Providing sufficient moisture is the key to making the skin brighter, and you will look a lot younger with fully moisturized, radiant skin. The moisturizer also has the function of sealing in moisture, which means that it locks in all the previous steps you have done, allowing the nutrients to deeply penetrate the skin instead of evaporating.

Especially for oily skin, you should also pay attention to moisturizing the skin because when the skin lacks moisture, it will secrete more oil to protect itself, making the oily skin even more greasy, prone to acne, and pigmentation.

In addition to the essential steps mentioned above, we need to exfoliate the skin 2 times a week and treat the skin to 2-3 carefully prepared meals with moisturizing masks, whitening, deep acne treatment….

Beauty is an essential and indispensable need of every person. Keeping your body and skin clean and fragrant means you love yourself.
