How to Properly Blow-Dry Different Hair Lengths
Short Hair
To dry short hair properly:
- Spray a layer of heat protectant hair cream on damp hair from roots to ends (spray only on roots if hair is strong).
- Clip up the bangs and start blow-drying from the back using a round brush to brush down the hair to prevent puffiness. Repeat on both sides.
- Let down the bangs and blow-dry while brushing the hair to one side. Remove the clip and blow-dry from the bangs to the top of the head until hair is completely dry.
- Apply a small amount of styling gel to the roots for a neat and natural look.
Medium Hair
To blow-dry medium hair correctly:
- Spray volumizing spray on the roots and hair conditioner on the ends of damp hair. Blow-dry bangs first, rolling them away from the forehead using a cylindrical hairbrush. Blow-dry the rest of the hair.
- Blow-dry hair on both sides and the ponytail until it is about 95% dry.
- Clip the hair at the top and pull the hair tight with a cylindrical brush, blow-drying the ponytail.
- Remove the clip and blow-dry the hair on the top of the head, pointing the hair dryer nozzle upwards to maintain volume.
Long Hair
To achieve the desired look with long hair:
- Apply a small amount of hair oil to the ponytail and blow-dry hair until it is 80% dry.
- Clip the hair at the top and start blow-drying from the back.
- Curl and blow-dry hair using a cylindrical brush, twisting the wrist to curl the hair back. Repeat from the nape of the neck to the top of the head until hair is completely dry.
- Flip the hair down and apply a layer of hair gel for styling. Lightly massage the roots and use fingers to comb the hair into place.
