A beauty and fitness blogger who owns a YouTube channel shared some highly effective hair care tips. “Just like your skin, everyone has different hair types and characteristics. I can’t make everyone’s hair grow long and beautiful instantly, but I’m ready to share the tips that I apply to make my hair beautiful every day,” the blogger said.

Trim your hair every 2-3 months
The blogger shared that if you don’t trim the split ends regularly, your hair will become more split and dry. Regular hair trimming helps eliminate damaged hair, reduces hair breakage, and makes your hair softer.

Avoid touching your hair
Your hands come into contact with many things, and each time you touch your hair, you unintentionally provide an environment for bacteria to invade your hair and scalp. Additionally, excessive hair washing can cause your hair follicles to lose moisture, leading to dryness and damage.

It is recommended to wash your hair twice a week. For normal hair, it’s best to wash it once a week.

Also, if you have long nails, you may not be able to control or adjust the pressure of your fingers when washing your hair. It is better to use the padded part of your fingers to massage your scalp while washing your hair. Using your nails to scratch your scalp may relieve itching, but it can also harm your scalp.

Use an old towel or cotton cloth to absorb water after washing your hair
Many people have the habit of using a towel to rub their hair, which can cause hair breakage, split ends, and dryness. Instead, Breanna uses old clothes or a soft cotton towel to absorb water from her hair. Cotton fibers are capable of absorbing water while retaining moisture for the hair. So if you don’t have a cotton towel, you can also use an old shirt.

Use a soft brush to comb your hair
Breanna uses a soft brush instead of regular hard plastic brushes. The soft brush with rounded bristles helps detangle and massage the scalp, stimulating blood circulation for healthier, softer, and stronger hair.

Use hair oil in winter and leave-in conditioner in summer
In winter, Breanna uses hair oil because hair tends to become dryer due to the cold weather. In summer, she only uses a lightweight leave-in conditioner to avoid sticky and heavy hair.

Sleep on a silk pillowcase
Cotton pillowcases create friction with your hair, causing moisture loss and damage. Additionally, cotton pillowcases are not good for your facial skin as they can cause wrinkles. A silk pillowcase is a wonderful solution for your skin and hair. Its smooth and gentle surface minimizes contact and protects your hair.
