How to Turn Off the Sound When Accessing TikTok

Step 1: First, ensure that your TikTok app is updated to the latest version. If not, please update the app by accessing the App Store (for iPhone) or CH Play (for Android).

Step 2: Open the TikTok app and select Profile at the bottom right corner. Then, click on the Menu icon with the three horizontal bars at the top right corner.

Step 3: Select the Settings and Privacy section, followed by selecting Playback in the Content & Display category.

Step 4: Slide the Open TikTok and mute feature to On. Enabling this feature means that when you open the TikTok app, the video you were previously watching will not produce any sound. If you want to listen to the sound again, simply press the Unmute button on the video or use the volume buttons to adjust the sound levels as usual. It’s as simple as that!
