Incense is the spiritual bridge between the living and ancestors, deities. When praying, the burning incense acts as a connection between two worlds. That is why ceremonies and worship cannot be without incense.

In ancient times, incense was made from natural herbs such as bamboo, grapefruit peel, agarwood, musk, and so on. Folk tales have stories about the spiritual significance of lighting incense. Especially when the incense burns without falling down and wraps itself on the ancestral altar. And that is very strange because out of a thousand sticks, only one stick of incense is like that. Therefore, people believe that the remaining incense after burning is a response, a message from ancestors and deities to the host. It demonstrates the fulfillment of wishes, bringing wealth, satisfaction, and fulfillment to the host.

When the market economy developed, the spiritual aspect became distorted, and many manufacturers started using chemicals to make incense that doesn’t burn completely. This made many people believe in the incense itself, even though they knew it was only for show and had no understanding of the negative effects it had on feng shui and spirituality.

Feng shui masters say that chemical incense only brings disasters

True spirituality must come from the heart. Using chemicals to create fake spiritual effects has several disadvantages:

– First, it is deception against spirituality and feng shui. Using deceptive means to present it as luck and a response is wrong. Moreover, this means that the person controlling the spirits is not a divine messenger, but an impostor. Therefore, the more worship there is, the more it becomes a form of superstition and self-deception, deceiving ancestors and oneself.

The spiritual world must be natural and not artificially arranged or deceptive.

– Second, chemicals remove the purity and cleanliness from the worship space. This disturbs the energy field and creates a negative atmosphere in the worship area, which is a major taboo. Chemical incense is dirty incense, offering impure offerings to ancestors and deities. Consequently, there will be no prosperity, only disaster. The spiritual area is a very important place of cleanliness and purity. Fake objects, even fake flowers and electric lights, should all be removed from the ancestral altar. Therefore, burning this kind of incense does not bring any wealth but rather pollutes the worship area.

– Third, chemical incense directly harms the living. When burning chemical incense, it stings the eyes, makes it hard to breathe, and especially affects the elderly, children, causing lung inflammation and coughing. Chemicals also cause cancer. So it harms both health and wealth.

Therefore, stop buying chemical incense to offer on the ancestral altar. Light clean incense and wait for natural divine response. Feng shui masters have said that the true essence of worship lies in using clean, natural incense to offer the purest sincerity and respect to ancestors and deities. Do not deceive yourself, deceive others, or deceive the divine, as there will never be any prosperity from doing so.

Offer clean and dignified offerings to ensure the purity and cleanliness of the family’s worship area. But chemical incense says nothing, it is only a form of imitation that those who do not understand deceive each other.
