Although foreign languages are no longer compulsory, students still have the right to take the exam for that subject in the high school graduation exam.
Explaining why foreign languages are no longer a compulsory subject in the high school graduation exam from 2025, Mr. Chuong said that according to the new general education program, foreign languages become a compulsory subject from grade 3 to grade 12. Therefore, throughout the process from grade 3 to 12, students will learn, be assessed, and evaluated in foreign languages.
