VssID is a digital social insurance application for mobile devices developed, released, and managed by the Vietnam Social Security. This app can sync all BHXH, BHYT related information, which makes it easy to check and understand the benefits.

The VssID app has created a new way to communicate with BHXH, BHYT members so they can easily access their information and use convenient, fast, and time-saving public services. During this current digital age, VssID has gradually replaced physical BHXH books and BHYT cards with a digital BHYT card within the app.

Instructions on how to retrieve a VssID password if you forget your email

Here are some instructions on how to easily recover your VssID password in case you forget your email:

Retrieve VssID password by calling 1900.9068

To recover your VssID password if you forget your email via the hotline number 1900.9068, simply follow these steps:

Step 1: Call the hotline 1900.9068 using the phone number you registered with the VssID app before. Then, press 8 to select the VssID password reset feature, and follow the instructions from the hotline.

Step 2: Provide the social insurance code that you use to log into the VssID app before.

Step 3: After providing the social insurance code, the system will check for your identity.

If the information provided matches your social insurance data, the hotline’s automated assistant will provide you with a new password to log into the VssID app.
If the information provided does not match your social insurance data, the automated assistant will notify you that the information does not match.

Please make sure you have enough money in your account before calling because the fee for this hotline is 1,000 VND/minute.

Retrieve VssID password via the National Public Service Portal

To recover your VssID password if you forget your email via the National Public Service Portal, follow these steps:

Step 1: Go to the Public Service Portal
of the Vietnam Social Security, then select Log In and click on Forgot password.

Step 2: In the User type section, select Individual. Then, enter your login name as your social insurance code in the Login name section, enter your email and verification code, and click Retrieve password. Once you’ve completed these steps, sign into the email account you provided earlier to see the OTP code from the Vietnam Social Security.

Step 3: Go back to the VssID app, enter the OTP you just received into the verification box, and click the Confirm button. If the OTP is valid, you will receive a new password to log into the VssID app via email. Now, you have successfully recovered your VssID password.

Retrieve VssID password using VneID

Follow the steps below to retrieve your VssID password if you forget your email using VneID:

Step 1: Open the VssID app on your phone.

Step 2: Click on Login with electronic ID account to sign in to VssID via the VNeID app.

Step 3: The app will automatically switch to the VNeID login screen. Simply log into VNeID, and the app will automatically log into your VssID account.

Note: This method only works with level 2 personal identification accounts that have linked health insurance cards to the VNeID app. Level 1 identification accounts or those that have not yet linked an insurance card cannot log into VssID using this method.

Retrieve VssID password if you forget both your phone number and email

If you lose the phone number registered with the VssID app and cannot remember your email account, you should contact your nearest social security office for support. Follow these steps to recover your VssID password if you forgot both your email and phone number:

Step 1: Go to the nearest social security office and fill out form 02/SĐ-GD to change the email registered with VssID.

Step 2: Fill in all the necessary personal information on the form. In the Additional information section, enter the new email you are using for your social insurance, BHYT.

Step 3: Sign and clearly state your full name on the form. Once you are finished, submit the form to the Social Security Office to receive a new password for VssID.
