In the process of using your phone, you may accidentally delete a few important text messages. Don’t worry, with various methods to recover text messages on iPhone provided in this article, you can retrieve those message contents quickly and easily.
Effective Ways to Recover Text Messages on iPhone
1. Recover messages using iCloud
Using iCloud is considered the most common way to recover messages on iPhones, and it’s the first method you should try. However, the recovery process via iCloud will result in the loss of data due to the need to reset the phone to its default factory settings. It is best to back up the data on your phone to iCloud before proceeding.
Step 1: Go to Settings > Select Apple ID account.
Step 2: Select iCloud > Click on iCloud Backup.
Step 3: Here, you can clearly see the most recent backups. If you have backed up before deleting the messages, the new messages can be restored.
Step 4: Proceed to restore factory settings to retrieve the backup by going to Settings > Click General Settings > Click Transfer or Reset iPhone.
Step 5: Select Erase All Content and Settings > Click Continue.
Step 6: You need to enter your iPhone password (if any) > Click Complete upload and delete.
Step 7: Patiently wait a few minutes for the iPhone to display the Welcome screen. Then go to Apps and Data > click Restore from iCloud backup > Sign in to your Apple ID account (iCloud).
Step 8: A list of backups will appear in chronological order. Click on the most recent backup that contains the deleted messages to restore.
