Step 1: Launch MS Word and open one of the Word files that you want to merge.

Step 2: The Insert file window will open, where you will select one or more files to merge and then click Insert.

  • If the files to be merged are adjacent, click on the first file, then hold down the Shift key on the keyboard and select the last file.
  • If the files to be merged are separated, select the first file, then hold down the Ctrl key and select the next files.

Step 3: Just a few seconds later, the content of the selected Word files will be merged into one file. Your next step is to check the content and make any necessary adjustments, then press Ctrl + S(or select the File tab > select Save) to save the file.
