Angel’s Trumpet
Angel’s Trumpet, also known as Love Flower, Siam Rose, or Sea Pink, captivates with its soft, velvety petals and vibrant colors ranging from red, pink, purple to white. This flower tolerates shade well and can bloom brilliantly even in low light, making it ideal for indoor potted plants. Angel’s Trumpet can also be easily propagated from leaves.
For propagation, select healthy leaves with intact stems. Prepare a pot with well-aerated, moist, and well-drained soil. Gently insert the Angel’s Trumpet leaves into the pot and place it in a breezy spot. Roots will soon grow from the leaf stems, developing into new plants. Once the seedlings thrive, separate them and transfer them to new pots; they will bloom beautifully the following year.
Golden Branch with Green Leaves
Golden Branch with Green Leaves (Syngonium podophyllum) is favored not only for its elegant appearance but also for its effective air-purifying abilities. You can easily propagate this plant at home through stem cutting.
Choose several healthy stems with intact leaves. Prepare a pot with well-drained, airy soil and a water spray bottle. Cut the stems to a length of about 4-6 inches, remove the leaves from the basal part, and then insert the cutting into the soil, ensuring the basal part is completely buried. Gently water to keep the soil moist and place the pot in a diffused light area, avoiding direct sunlight.
Maintain soil moisture by spraying regularly, at least once or twice a day. After about 20 days, the cuttings will start to root and grow into new plants. When the seedlings have enough roots and leaves, separate them from the propagation pot and transplant them into individual pots. Continue regular care until they mature.
