Ms. Hue reveals that Huu Lien (Lang Son) left the most lasting impression, prompting her to visit five times without growing weary. She has experienced this region across all four seasons, with her most recent trip just two weeks ago.

“On average, I visit Huu Lien once a year, sometimes with close friends, other times with colleagues, but most trips include my entire family.
I genuinely love this destination for its picturesque natural scenery, diverse terrain—ranging from mountains to fields, streams, and valleys—and its proximity to Hanoi. The roads are easy to navigate, and a short nap is all it takes to arrive,” she recalls.

With two young children, Ms. Hue opted for a private tour experience during their recent trip to Huu Lien instead of traveling independently.

During their 2-day, 1-night stay in Huu Lien, the family visited several serene spots, immersing themselves in nature through activities like camping, horseback riding, kite flying, stream bathing, rafting, swimming at Bac Mo Dam, and SUP boarding on a large lake.

“Each destination has its unique charm but all offer a peaceful, city-contrasting experience,” the traveler reflects.

Beyond the well-planned activities, Ms. Hue was also pleased with the accommodation and dining services.
Her family stayed in a charming wooden house with modern amenities, surrounded by vast rice fields and lush greenery. The spacious interior featured vibrant traditional decor.
Meals were served at the homestay, showcasing local specialties like roasted duck, pork, grilled spring rolls, braised pork, sausages, and handmade rice noodles.
“Everything was delicious, and we even bought some as gifts for family back home,” Ms. Hue adds.
Huu Lien’s delectable cuisine captivates visitors with its unique local flavors.
The 33-year-old traveler reveals the tour cost was over 2.3 million VND per adult and 1.8 million VND per child, with children under 5 free of charge.
She finds the price reasonable for the quality of services, ideal for a short getaway offering memorable relaxation away from urban stresses.
“I consider the cost quite affordable given the services provided. Normally, hiring a photographer alone can be quite expensive,” she notes.
